The arrival in Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast is a complete change of scenery: 25C, nice see breeze, and complete different spanish accent. We spend our first night in the small village of Taganga before heading to the national park of Tayrona, where we enjoy our first Ceviche (marinated fish).

On that night unfortunately all our wet clothes drying on the terrace got stolen by some village kids...

The Parque Tayrona is another change since we travel from arid Taganga, to the jungle in just about 1 hour. Our driver leaves us at the park entrance where we hire horses to carry our backpacks to our first jungle camp.

We realised a bit disappointed, that there was a much nicer camp directly on the beach, but well...

So this is our first night in hammocks, without mosquito net, but there wasnt that many insects and waking up to the sounds of jungle was really nice.

The next day, we move on to the next beach, which is meant to be the best one of the park: Cabo San Juan.

There, we choose the best option of the camping, which is to sleep in hammocks on top of the mirador.

Here we will spend the next 3 days enjoying several streches of beaches and grilled fish for every meal.

Alex and Paul always find out some new games to entertain themselves, like moving around this 200kg piece of wood up and down the beach...

After a bumpy boat ride back to Taganga, we find out that the hostel we wanted to stay is fully booked so we end up at Hugos Place. It turned out to be the best hostel we ever stayed with great views on the bay and the sea.

For our last night in Taganga, we had dinner in one of the best restaurants in town, where the menu was available in both spanish and "english", for which an instant translator like google was obviously used: papas a la francesa (french fries), turned out to be "dads to the french".
Wow!!!!!
